Project: Cooling Towers

Industry: Education, Middle School

Substrate: Carbon and Stainless Steel

Problem: Towers were leaking around seams and protrusions.

Solution:  To permanently stop all leaks and protect the tower from future rust and corrosion Advanced Specialty Coatings recommended that the surfaces be mechanically abraded, and a paste grade epoxy used to repair the corrosion and leaking areas. This was followed by the application of a protective and leak resistant coating, an elastomer (rubberized) epoxy, to the cooling tower seams and protrusions.

Result: The Cooling Tower was repaired with minimum downtime and at a huge saving over replacement costs and other expensive repair methods. This cooling tower project was ready to return to service within 4 days of the beginning of application.
